Wayne Arrington Smith, 71 of Marietta passed away August 23, 2011. Wayne was a life long member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2681 in Marietta. He is survived by Margaret, his loving wife of 50 years, his daughters and son-in-laws, Connie and David Donachie; Raeann and Jason Fields; four grandchildren, Bradley and Dale Wayne Donachie, Arrington and Anthony Fields; two great-grandchildren; brother, Don and Gloria Smith; sister, Nell Gardner; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service to honor Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill Chapel with Chaplain Clarence Sinkler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: VFW Post 2681, 140 Powers Ferry Road, Marietta, GA for the National Home For Children.
