William Paul Cochran, known to his friends and family as Bill, was born October 26, 1942 to Adrian P. Cochran and Wylene F. (née Smith) Cochran. After attending Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia, he joined the United States Army. Serving in field artillery, he was stationed in Germany where he advanced in rank to Sergeant. Bill was known throughout the Metro-Atlanta area as a successful, well respected produce wholesaler.
He was a skilled carpenter who took satisfaction in building things. He was an avid camper, hunter, and fisherman who also enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and motorcycling. One of his greatest pleasures was cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Bill passed peacefully at the age of 77 in the early morning of December 24, 2019. He is survived by 4 children, 7 of 8 grandchildren, and 3 great- grandchildren.
Bill's family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00pm, Friday, December 27th, 2019, at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm. Following the Funeral Service, Bill will be laid to rest on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
