

He was born May 16, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana where he attended Ball State University, swam competitively and graduated with an Education major.
He served active duty for the U.S. Navy in the Eastern Pacific on the U.S.S. Quapaw and was stationed at Pearl Harbor where he acquired a love for the ocean that would last a lifetime. Additionally, he had a lifelong love for barbershop quartet singing. He sang in various groups throughout his life including California Gold and The Tiki Tones, the latter of which became district champions from 1970 to 1973. He also directed full ensemble choirs in Hawaii.
Professionally, Bill had a successful 20 - year career (1975-1995) with Xerox Corporation, winning several sales awards.
Mr. Lathouse was known for his quick wit and keen knack for wordplay and puns. He enjoyed rooting for his favorite sports teams and Christmas was his favorite holiday - making sure to fill the family room wall-to-wall with gifts every year. Bill possessed an unmatched lust for life and remained optimistic when given any obstacle.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlene Lathouse, their four children: Eric Lathouse, Nicole Gilbert, Evan Lathouse and Nathan Lathouse and one granddaughter, Amelia Gilbert.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 1, 1 PM at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064, with Chaplain James Kenton officiating.
