

Dr. William T. Mikolowsky, 68 of Woodstock died Tuesday, July 24, 2012. William had a bachelor, masters and doctorate degree from Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering. He also held a MBA from Stanford University. Dr. Mikolowsky retired from Lockheed after 33 years of service and was the “Father of the C130J”. He was a professor at Georgia Tech where he taught Aerospace Engineering. Dr. Mikolowsky was the author of many publications. He had been an avid pilot and a buff of the civil war. William is survived by his wife, Nancy Colony; daughter, Laura Mikolowsky Brooks and her husband Mark of Denver, CO; Step-son, William Thomason and his wife Leann of Rio Rancho, NM; Step-daughter, Karyn Griffin and her husband Douglas of Roswell, GA; brother, David Mikolowsky and family of Kennesaw, GA; sister, Mary Kubitza and family of Uniontown, PA; granddaughter, Lillianna Brooks. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2 pm at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Georgia Tech Scholarship Fund.
