Willie Huey

Mrs. Willie Lou (Cowan) Huey, formerly of Douglasville, GA passed away on September 13, 2010. Born June 12, 1913, “Lou” lived a long and fulfilling life and was married for 39 years to Capt. (Ret) John Mason Huey, Sr., who preceded her in death in December 1979. She was a loving wife and mother and is survived by six sons: John M. Huey, Jr., Marietta; Wayne C. Huey, Alpharetta; Col. (Ret) James T. Huey, Huntsville, AL; William F. Huey, Cartersville; Charles E. Huey, Bossier City, LA; and Robert A. Huey, Woodstock; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Elsie A. Cater and D. Leoncia Whaley; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
