Wright Warnock Gellerstedt, age 95, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born in Troy, Alabama on August 29, 1927 to the late Lawrence Love Gellerstedt and Pearl Wright Gellerstedt. He moved to Atlanta as an infant and lived in the greater Atlanta area, including Decatur and Marietta, his entire life.
Wright served in the Armed Forces in WWII. He attended undergraduate school at Emory University and received his law degree at the University of Georgia. He practiced law in Decatur, Georgia. He was an avid swimmer, hiker and loved the great outdoors and Georgia and Tennessee mountains.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ann Turlington and his brother Lawrence Gellerstedt. He is survived by his nieces and nephews and by his large adopted family. We give eternal thanks to Shuang Chen and her family for their many years of loving, dedicated care, including Wright in their family, showing love and compassion in his later years.
