

Dr. Wyteria Tennille (Douglas) Mack was born on March 26, 1977, in Memphis, TN. She transitioned to her eternal home on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, in Marietta, GA the city she loved and made her home. She was the beloved wife of Jerome Kent Mack of Marietta, GA. the beloved daughter of Cornelius Wayne Douglas of Memphis, TN (father) and Janie Bernice (Douglas) Thomas of Bartlett, TN (mother) and Benjamin Thomas of Bartlett, TN (stepfather).
Dr. Wyteria Tennille Mack, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, completion, thoughtfulness and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing Wyteria.

After her graduation from Kirby High School, she received her bachelor’s degree at Tennessee State University (2000) in Nashville, TN. Her educational journey continued with receiving her master’s degree in psychology (2012) and continuing her education to receive her Doctorate of Psychology, (2023) obtaining both from Walden University. Dr. Wyteria Mack practiced Psychology until her death November 28, 2024, Dr. Mack loved and enjoyed helping others in any way she could help with a smile.
Outside of her work, Dr. Mack found joy in traveling the world, planning events, painting, crafting, interior designs, mid-century and modern design, as well as reading and writing. Her love for travel reflected her adventurous and free spirit for life. She loved to Garden, everything she planted prospered. Her favorite plant of all was the Wisteria. Last year her and Jerome’s four-legged best friend Lyric passed away, Lyric was loved fiercely by Dr. Mack and Jerome.
Those who knew Dr. Wyteria T. Mack will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
Although Dr. Wyteria Mack physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you continue to worship Jesus up there, dear Wyteria, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts
