Yolandi Stanek

Yolandi Stanek passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on April 15, 1985, in Pretoria, South Africa, Yolandi lived a life marked by creativity, vision, and a deep commitment to her work and community. She earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Stellenbosch University and was the Founder and Creative Director of her own design studio called Hello Yo. Through her work, she brought originality, passion, and a distinctive voice to everything she created. She was known for her entrepreneurial spirit and her ability to inspire those around her. Beyond her professional achievements, Yolandi will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the meaningful connections she built with friends, colleagues, and loved ones. She loved watching movies, painting, and making ceramics and candles. Her presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her husband Joseph Stanek, mother Thea Oosthuizen, father Deon Oosthuizen, sister Esmarie Kirkpatrick and brother Gert Oosthuizen. Yolandi’s life, though far too short, was filled with purpose and appreciation for those she loved. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating a gift in Yolandi’s honor to The American Cancer Society or Young Audiences Arts for Learning which provides arts education nationwide.

Celebration of Life Services for Yolandi Stanek will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2PM. These services will be recorded and streamed live.
