

He was born September 14, 1936 in McDowell County, NC to the late Jimmy Bradley, Sr. and Annie Mae Mason Bradley.
Mr. Bradley played slow pitch softball for many years with Brooks Auto in Marion, NC. He umpired USSSA softball in South Carolina, and in 1995 he was inducted into the South Carolina USSSA Hall of Fame for Umpires. Mr. Bradley retired in 1998 from Pepsi Cola after 23 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Frances Smith Bradley of the home; one son, Kevin Bradley of Nebo, NC; one daughter, Gwen McPeters and husband, Doug of Nebo, NC; one brother, Jimmy Bradley, Jr. and wife, Doris of Morganton, NC; one sister, Ann Cardell of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Tiffany Rose and husband, David of Nebo, NC and Jessica Gonzales of Fayetteville, NC; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to Hospice of McDowell County for the special love and care shown to Mr. Bradley and his family during his illness.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Chuck Tripp officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
