Brenda Kaye Waldroup

She was born January 13, 1945 in Avery County, NC to the late Leonard and Lena Davis. Brenda formerly worked at Tultex as a seamstress. She was a good mother who loved baking and sewing. She was a very loving and caring person to everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Clifford Waldroup and her brother, Dennis Davis.

Surviving Brenda are one son, Johnny Waldroup and wife, Teresa of Marion, NC; two grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor and husband, Michael and Jonathan Waldroup all of Marion, NC; two brothers, Wayne Davis and wife, Dee of Morganton, NC and Bobby Davis of VA; five sisters, Juanita Waldroup and husband, Ernest of Marion, Carolyn Waldroup of Morganton, NC, Revonda Hubbard and husband, Kyle of VA, Gladys Dutton and husband, Mike of Morganton, NC and Patsy Dutton and husband, Joe of Morganton, NC; and many nieces and nephews and special friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Dr. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
