Charles Lee Shehan, Jr, of Maiden, NC passed away May 9, 2010, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was born October 27, 1949 in McDowell County to the late Charles Lee Shehan and Margaret Smith Shehan of Marion. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Bishop Shehan.

Surviving Mr. Shehan is his mother Margaret Smith Shehan of Marion; wife, Karen Berry Shehan of the home; 3 sons, James Dale Shehan of Morganton, Charles Shehan, III of Rhodhiss, & Fate Arrow Shehan of Maiden; 4 daughters, Angela Suttles of Valdese, Lisa Smith of Glenwood, Genny Randolph of Marion, & Shannon Mitchell of Lenoir; brother, James Shehan of Marion; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Ferguson of Marion, Linda Robinson of SC, Barbara Ann Holden of Spruce Pine, Laura Hawkins of Newberry, SC; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Glenwood Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
