Clara Pat Patricia McDaniel

Clara Patricia “Pat” McDaniel, age 84, of Houston, TX, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, after a short illness, at Elderberry Health Care in Marshall, NC, which she has considered her home for the past 5 years. Prior to that she lived in Oteen since 1989.

She was born on October 24, 1926 in Clouterville, LA to the late J.O. McDaniel and Leona Rougeout McDaniel. She was a long time member of Oteen Baptist Church. Pat was a caregiver to many friends and family in her neighborhood. Her passions were animals and photography.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two 2nd cousins, Bunny Reed Runge and husband, Tommy of Chapin, SC and Glenda Gosorn Jones and husband, Ron of Silver Springs, MD; and four 3rd cousins, Kristy Jones Sievers and husband, Brendan of Silver Springs, MD, Ronda Jones of Silver Springs, MD, Melissa Jones Young and husband, Russell of Atlanta, GA and Vickie Charrier of Natchitoches, LA.

A special thank you to Pat’s loving neighbors, Homer and Estie Williams and Jay and Michelle Nelson for being her friends while living in Oteen, NC.

Elderberry Health Care showed loving care and devotion to Pat for the last 5 years. The family would like to say a special thank you to Rachel Burnette, Tresa Patterson, Donna Leysom, Karen Cutshall, Rachel Reece, Sherry Chandler, Sandi Fore and many loving nurses and CNAs, whom Pat loved like family.
