Diane Marie Hutchins

Diane Marie Hutchins, 42, of Nebo, NC, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC after a courageous four year battle with breast cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend.

She was born September 9, 1967 in Illinois. Mrs. Hutchins was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was a soccer and basketball coach. She volunteered for Partnerships for Children and at Nebo Elementary School.

Mrs. Hutchins is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kermit and Maude Jacobs.

Surviving are her husband, Jeff Hutchins of the home; three sons, Joshua John Hutchins of Brevard, NC, Jacob Lee Hutchins of the home and Jonathan Caleb Hutchins of the home; her parents, John and Jacqueline Kocourek of Chaska, MN and Dale Brandt of WI; three brothers, Barry Brandt and wife, Amy of IL, Steve Brandt and wife, Michelle of WI, and Greg Brandt and wife, Heidi of MN; three sisters, Tracy Kihm and husband, Ted of KS, Jill Balogh and husband, John of Raleigh, NC, and Amy Byrn and husband, Mike of KS; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. A special thank you to John and Linda Hutchins (Mrs. Hutchins’ father-in-law and mother-in-law) for their support and loving kindness to all the family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Ridder and Rev. Bill Long officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the following: The funeral fund, Mrs. Hutchins’ children, or to Hospice of Rutherford County.

Family and friends will be gathering at John and Linda Hutchins’ Home.
