Dwight Jonathan "D.J." Huffman

He was born March 8, 1991 in Burke County, NC to Tina Huffman of the home and Dwight Huffman of Morganton, NC. D.J. worked at Rock-Tenn. He loved to hunt and ride dirt bikes. D.J. was most proud of being an uncle. He loved his niece and nephews dearly.

D.J. was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Huffman; one cousin, Charity Hope Wright; and one aunt, Robin Wright.

In addition to his parents, also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Eva Huffman of Morganton, NC; maternal grandparents, James and Elizabeth Wright of Nebo, NC; two sisters, Tristien and Tiffany Huffman of the home; beloved niece and nephews, Malachi McHone, Teagan McHone and Maverick Haynes of the home; aunts and uncles, James Wright and wife, Julia of Icard, NC, Kathy Huffman Carswell and husband, John of Moorehead City, NC and Kenneth Huffman and wife, Dorinda of Morganton, NC; cousins, Jordan Carswell and Daniel Huffman; great-uncles, Leonard Butler, Garland Butler, Glen Butler and wife, Karen and J.P. Butler; great-aunts, Sadie Powell and Lou Ellen Harmon and husband, James; and his best friends, Jeremy Guffey and Tesz Powell.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2015 Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Morganton, NC with Rev. John Carswell officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
