Erica Daves Walker

Erica was born September 26, 1981 in McDowell County, NC to Janice Hemphill Daves of Marion and to the late Eddie Daves. She was a member of PG Baptist Church. She worked for The Biltmore Company in Marketing and also taught tap and hip hop dancing at Miss Jacie’s School of Dance for many years. Erica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a strong woman and inspirational.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ray and Averyl Daves and her maternal grandparents, Yates and Hazel Hemphill.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Michael Walker of the home; her beloved daughter, Ellie Walker of the home; one brother, Vann Daves and wife, Tiffany of Marion, NC; her niece and nephew, Madison “Madgie” and Gunner Daves of Marion, NC; and many cousins and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
