Grace Verdell Parker

She was born October 16, 1935 in McDowell County, NC to the late William Claude Parker and Naomi Verdell Parker. Grace was a member of East Marion Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family and people in general. She was a wonderful woman. She will forever be remembered for her joyful personality and her laugh.

Surviving Grace are her brother, Michael C. Parker and his wife, Olivia of Champaign, IL.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Jim Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.

The Parker family requests, in lieu of flowers, that we remember Grace’s love of the Lord, her love of her family, her goodness and her laugh.
