Jessie M. Groves

She was born June 1, 1930 in McDowell County, NC to the late Robert Lee Roper and Cora Ellen Lakey Roper. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, for 18 years, in Harrison County, Indiana.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Homer Groves, a twin brother; Aurther Ray Roper, and several brothers and one sister and a son-in-law; Harold Reed.

Surviving is two daughters; Susie Reed, of Marion, and Sandra Archabald, husband Steve, of Elizabeth, IN, one sister; Gladys White, of Baltimore, MD, and 4 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
