Josephine Virginia Conner Brown

She was born June 25, 1950 in McDowell County, NC to the late Clyde Freeman and Nellie Mills Brown. Mrs. Brown worked as a truck driver and was known for being a very tough, strong willed lady. She was independent and tried to take care of things on her own.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Ken Brown; one infant daughter, Nelene Rector; and her sister, Lilly Mae Hodge.

Surviving Mrs. Brown are one son, David Rector and wife, Cindi of Old Fort, NC; one daughter, Cynthia Rector of Marion, NC; four grandchildren, Ranin Bradley, Trace Newton, Connor Rector and Bryson Rector; four brothers, Jack Conner of Hickory, NC, Jerry Conner of Polk County, NC, Ray Conner of Marion, NC and Pat Conner and wife, Judy of Marion, NC; two sisters, Karen Harris of Marion, NC and Peggy Davis and husband, Jeff of Old Fort, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
