Josephine McKinney Greene, 75, of Marion, passed away March 2, 2010, at The McDowell Hospital. She was born November 24, 1934 in Yancey County to the late Chet & Molly Hobson McKinney.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Guy Greene; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.

Surviving are a brother, D.C. McKinney of Arden; 2 sisters, Vada Gaddy & Mrs. Gene Padgett of Marion; a number of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Mrs. Elizabeth Pendley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock PM on Friday, March 6, 2010 at McCall Kirksey Funeral Chapel in Marion with Rev. Charles Dicks officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
