Juan Marichal Tate

Mr. Juan Marichal Tate, 47 of Nebo, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care in Valdese. Born on October 14, 1864 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Ossie Tate and Mary Ellen Rutherford Tate. He was a loving son and brother who enjoyed electronics.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ossie Mae Logan; and brother, Andrew Tate. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille Joyner and her husband, Glenn; Mary Tate; Martha Joyner and her husband, William; Laura Lynn Tate and her husband, Samuel; and Yola Swepson; brothers, Douglas Rutherford and his wife, Minnie; Perry Tate and his wife, Ruby; Hubert Tate; and Jimmy Tate and his wife, Margaret; and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with the Reverend Debora Smith officiating.
