He was born August 17, 1942 in McDowell County, NC to the late Lawrence H. Carroll, Sr. and Mary Davis Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Lovie Carroll.
Surviving Mr. Carroll are six sons, Jessie J. Carroll, Lawrence S.U. Carroll, Duane Carroll, Jim Carroll, Chris Carroll and Raulf Carroll of Berlin, Germany; one daughter, Lea Holly Wheeler; one brother, Travis “Tip” Carroll; and ten grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Don Mitchell officiating.
