Mary Maggie Lene Noblitt Berry

She was born October 7, 1936 in McDowell County, NC to the late John Clarence Noblitt and Tillie Mills Noblitt. Mrs. Berry worked as a Substitute Teacher for McDowell County Schools for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Berry, a daughter, Donna Eloise Berry and three brothers, Herman, Charles and Ray Noblitt.

Surviving Mrs. Berry are three beloved sons, Bruce Berry and fiancé, Sheila of Welford, SC, Brian Berry of Marion, NC and Dwight Berry, Jr. of Marion, NC; two brothers, Harold Noblitt and wife, Shelby of Nebo, NC and Johnnie Noblitt and wife, Sheila of Marion, NC; four sisters, Linda Collins and husband, Ron of Goldsboro, NC, Mable Stratton of Marion, NC, Jewel Mahan of Marion, NC and Alice McKinney and husband, Herschel of Marion, NC; a special friend, Barbara Webb of Marion, NC; a special friend, Susan Berry, of the home, who cared for Mary, and four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
