Mary Kathleen Watson Cruise

She was born March 7, 1946 in McDowell County, NC to the late Hugh Lee Watson and Kathleen Rowe Watson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by six brothers.

Mary graduated from Nebo High School and was a lifetime member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She was a very loving and family oriented individual. She enjoyed sports and had a great sense of humor.

Surviving Mary are her husband of 48 years, Paul Cruise; two sons, Mark Cruise and wife, Corie of Washington D.C. and David Cruise and wife, Brenda of Drexel, NC; one daughter, Mary Ann Robertson and husband, Patrick of Nebo, NC; one brother, Ray Watson and wife, Barbara of Nebo, NC; three sisters, Virginia Jarvis of Lenoir, NC, Louise Henline of Statesville, NC and Helen Clemmons and husband, James of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters-in-law, Polly Watson of Nebo, NC and Delores Watson of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Lee, Gabriel, Christian, Garrett and Katelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Nebo, NC with Rev. Gary Webb officiating. Mary will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
