Robert Andrew Crowe Sr.

He was born December 16, 1953 in Oconee County, SC to Mary Webb Walker of the home and to the late Leslie Andrew Crowe. Mr. Crowe attended Cherry Springs Baptist Church. He loved his animals and his family. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his step-father, Lionel B. Walker.

In addition to his mother, surviving Mr. Crowe are one son, Robert A. Crowe, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Maryville, TN; two daughters, Lila Crowe of Old Fort, NC and Karen D. Crowe of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Leslie Crowe of FL; two sisters, Mary L. Woods and husband, Tommy of Nebo, NC and Judy E. Crowe of Old Fort, NC; three grandchildren, Kirsten Harmon, Blake E. Crowe and Josiah Baker; his best friend, Terry Moore of Old Fort, NC; and all of the Walker family.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to Mr. Crowe’s caretaker, Teresa Franklin and also Hospice of McDowell County for the special love and care shown to Mr. Crowe and his family.

A Celebration of Mr. Crowe’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Cherry Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Kirksey Funeral Home – 69 N. Main St. Marion, NC 28752 to help the Crowe family with funeral expenses.
