

She was born October 9, 1920 in McDowell County, NC to the late Thomas Rhinehart and Flossie Freeman Rhinehart. Mrs. McKinney loved to cook and bake for family, loved flowers and working in her yard, loved everybody, and was very family oriented, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Rhinehart, Cecil Rhinehart, William Rhinehart, and one sister Mildred Smith.
Surviving Mrs. McKinney are son Olen McKinney, wife Jewell, of Marion, two daughters, Annette Stines, husband Tommy, of Marion, Brenda Morgan, husband Bill, of Union Mills, three brothers, Carroll Rhinehart, of Marion, Lawrence Rhinehart, wife Estelle, of Marion, and Dean Rhinehart, wife Louise, of Black Mountain, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Pat Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Hicks Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
