Suzanne Ellis Thomason

Ms. Thomason was born December 6, 1947 in McDowell County, NC to the late Jack Howard McKinney and Mildred Ray McKinney. She was a graduate of Marion High School and attended Lees-McRae College. Ms. Thomason was a Back Stage Mom of the America’s Junior Miss Pageant from 1971-1975.

Left behind to cherish her memory are one daughter, Mary McMahan and husband, Greg of East Northport, NY; two sons, Chris Slay of Charlotte, NC and Max Thomason of TN; and two sisters, Julia Gouge and husband, Ned and Ginni Price both of Marion, NC.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church on Shady Lane in Marion, NC with Pastor Greg Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
