Sylvia J. Duncan

Sylvia Jane Stroud Duncan, 71, of Marion, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011. She was born July 29, 1940 to the late Thomas Earl Stroud and Lucy Jane Lawson Stroud of Whitmire, SC. Mrs. Duncan was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and attended First Christian Church.

She is survived by husband; Stuart Clay Duncan, Sr., of the home, son; Stuart Clay Duncan, Jr., wife Aletha, of Marion, two brothers; Tom Stroud, wife Janice, of Laurens, SC, and Dan Stroud, wife Dianne, of Whitmire, SC, three Grandchildren; Matthew Clay Duncan, Morgan Alexandra Duncan, and Madelyn Grace Duncan, and one Great-Grandchild; Kendall Clay Duncan, and many nieces and nephews that loved her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, with the Rev. Jessie Baker and Rev. Don Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
