Timia Jane Holland Hunsinger

Mrs. Hunsinger was born September 7, 1921, in McDowell County to Samuel Marcus Holland and Hettie Rowena Owensby Holland.

She was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hunsinger loved sewing, quilting, and growing flowers. Most of all, she loved her family dearly. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild were her life’s greatest accomplishment.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Lee Hunsinger; four brothers, Quince Hollifield, Marvin Hollifield, Leonard Holland, Clarence Holland, and Zachary Holland; and one sister, Mattie Lou Hunsinger.

Surviving Mrs. Hunsinger are her three daughters, Barbara Buchanan (Avery) of Nebo, Becky Forbes (Danny) of Marion, and Debbie Huffman (Jerry) of Morganton; five grandchildren, Mark Forbes of Marion, Greg Buchanan of Marion, Karen Buchanan of Marion, Regina Smith of Morganton and Rowena Miller of Morganton; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Forbes and Chaplain Cy Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church cemetery.
