Vester Lee Wilson

He was born May 24, 1938 in Yancey County, NC to the late Don D. Wilson and Ruby Jane Phillips Wilson.

Mr. Wilson worked as a Lineman for the telephone company. He was an outdoorsman and loved woodworking, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Donald “R.D.” Wilson and his sister, Marchie McPeters.

Surviving Mr. Wilson are four children, Jimmy Wilson of Portland, OR, David of OR, Kim of OR and Andrea of CO; two brothers, Therry Wilson and Coy Wilson and wife, Margaret all of Marion, NC; and two sisters, Helen Boone and husband, Paul of Columbia, SC and Lillian Boone of Marion, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
