Virginia Suddreth Pyatt

Virginia taught school at Marion Elementary for 36 years. She was very dedicated to her profession and it was one of her greatest joys. She never tired of talking about her students.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carson Pyatt and four siblings Rosalind, Joyce, Jack, and Billie; parents, Millard and Lillian Suddreth.

She is survived by one son, Boyd Pyatt of Newton and a grandson, Shannon Pyatt and wife Leah of Cornelius, N.C.

Virginia is also survived by a sister, Frances Baird of Gainesville, Florida. Her great-grandchildren are Shannon Pyatt of Ocean Isle, N.C., Maleia Pyatt of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and a step-granddaughter, Maggie Effler of Old Fort, N.C.

Mrs. Pyatt was a member of the First Methodist Church in Marion where she was an active member before her declining health.

A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. The service will be held at 3:00 PM. Receiving of friends will be one hour prior to the service.

The staff of Grace Covenant Church, Huntersville, N.C. will assist with the service.
