Carol Sue (Will) Thomas, 84 of Markle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her residence with her family around her. Carol Sue was a 1955 graduate of Markle High School. She worked on the farm beside her husband and was a bus driver for Northern Wells Community Schools. She later worked at K-Mart Corporation and Simpson Industries, respectively. Landscaping was Carol’s passion and she was the ultimate Do-It-Yourselfer. She also loved to travel.
Carol Sue was born on April 10, 1937 in Markle, the daughter of the late Kenneth D. and Mary M. (Deiser) Will.
She was united in marriage to Richard L. Thomas, Sr. on April 15, 1956 in Markle. Richard preceded her in death on May 20, 2013.
Survivors include three sons: Dale (Kim) Thomas of Uniondale, Richard Thomas, Jr. of Uniondale, Michael (Adriana) Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Kim Mitchell of Fort Wayne, Maridona Thomas of Markle; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Dale "Butch" Will.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 following visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family will have a private interment at the Horeb Cemetery in Uniondale.
