Danny J. Sparks

Danny J. Sparks, 58 of Markle passed away at 6:22 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence. Danny was a 1973 graduate of Huntington North High School. He worked as a lead pressman at Innovating Packaging for 10 years. He had also worked at International Paper in Fort Wayne for 29 years. He helped on the family farm his entire life. He enjoyed anything and everything John Deere and was an avid NASCAR fan and bow hunter. He loved and enjoyed his family, friends and neighbors.

Danny was born on February 12, 1955 in Huntington, a son of Vern and Maribelle (Lahr) Sparks.

He was united in marriage to Sharon L. Kersey on June 17, 2000 in Markle. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include his mother: Maribelle Sparks of Markle; a daughter: Tiffany S. (Mike) Grant of Markle; a stepdaughter: Angela (Chris) Kauffman of Huntington; a stepson: Adam Rodenbeck of Indianapolis; two brothers: Max (Doris) Sparks of Huntington; Jim (Vicki) Sparks of Huntington; a sister: Linda (John) Allen of Warren; two granddaughters: Mikayla Grant, Chloe Kauffman and a grandson: Caleb Kauffman.

He was preceded in death by his father: Vern E. Sparks and a son: Jeremy J. Sparks.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 4:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Stults officiating.
