

Gina Gayle (Ford) Turpin, 67 of Markle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Friday evening December 27, 2024, at 11:17 PM. She was born in Berkeley, California, on December 28, 1956. Gina was a daughter of Leland Gale Ford and Juanita Mae (Lyons) Ford. She was a fun-loving, free-spirited woman who enjoyed an adventurous life. In her younger days, Gina found joy in riding motorcycles, hiking the West Coast, camping, and traveling. Above all, her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother, or as she was affectionately known by her family, Meme. In 2022, Gina moved to Indiana to be closer to her beloved granddaughters and great-grandson, cherishing her time with them in her later years.
Gina is survived by her husband, James Turpin of Markle, IN; her son, David Kramer of the Sonoran Desert, CA; and her daughter, Amber (Heath) Eppard of Markle, IN. She is also survived by her three sisters: Dorothy Joss of Reno, NV, Mary Benson of Manteca, CA, and Zola Ford of Quartzsite, AZ.
Her cherished grandchildren include Leland (Kayleigh) Kramer of Laurel, MS; Cody Kramer of Laurel, MS; Elysium Kramer of Markle, IN; Lillyin Kramer of Markle, IN; and Olivia Kramer of Markle, IN. Additionally, Gina is survived by six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Gina was preceded in death by her father, Leland Gale Ford; her mother, Juanita Mae Ford; and her brothers: Charles Frederick Joss, Donn Wesley Newhouse, and Richard Joss.
Gina will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her love, warmth, and spirited personality will remain in their hearts forever.
There will be no public services at this time.
