Jim L. Warpup
May 21, 1954 – May 27, 2021

Jim L. Warpup, 67 of Warren passed away early Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his residence. Jim was a lifetime farmer in Huntington and Wells Counties. He was a 1972 graduate of Huntington North High School. Jim was a member of the Warren Church of Christ and former member of the Markle Church of Christ, he had served as a Deacon at both Churches. He was a member of the Huntington County Drainage Board for many years. Jim enjoyed restoring and collecting John Deere tractors and going on vacation.
Jim was born on May 21, 1954 in Bluffton, IN a son of the late Harmon and Opa Fay Collins Warpup.
He was united in marriage to Javonda Smalling on January 22, 1972 in Markle. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons: Brian (Nicole) Warpup and Toby Warpup of Warren; a daughter: Melinda Haynes of Warren; and a sister: Jane (Dave) Day of Markle. Five grandchildren: Hayley (Jared) Coolman, Ben Warpup, Hannah Warpup, Maleah Warpup and Trinity Warpup.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse St., Markle, IN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the 10:00 a.m. at the Markle Church of Christ with Gerald O. Moreland and Ethan Stivers officiating.
Interment will take place at the Star of Hope Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
Memorial donations can be made out to either the Warren Church of Christ or the Markle Church of Christ both in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
