Norma K. Reynolds

Norma K. Reynolds, 78 of Markle passed away on December 29, 2020 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. Norma was a 1960 graduate of Winamac High School. She worked for many years at Davis Family Restaurant before opening Markle Pizza and Video. At the time home internet was becoming popular she co-founded CoolSky Internet, a local dial-up internet service provider.

Among her many friends were her “Imaginary Friends” as she called them. They were from around the country and became friends online through chat groups and blogging. Norma stayed in touch with many of these friends throughout the years.

Norma enjoyed selling on Ebay and sold thousands of items over the years. Crocheting was also something she enjoyed. Most of her friends and family have a crocheted blanket from Norma. She also donated many crocheted prayer shawls to area churches.

Norma was born on February 5, 1942 in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of the late Chester and Betty (Frazier) Reynolds. She was proceeded in death by her sister Nancy Reynolds.

Survivors include three sons: Greg Hickman of Markle, Gary (Billie) Hickman of Paris, TN, Jimmy (Deeda) Leffert of Markle; a brother: Joe (Ruth) Reynolds of Winamac, IN; five grandchildren: Katie (Adam) Harris, Aaron (Laura) Hickman, Rebecca Hickman, Corbin Snow, Morgan Leffert and two great-grandchildren: Violet Harris and Cooper Harris; a nephew Kenny Reynolds and niece Marsha Reynolds.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Markle Church of Christ, 455 East Morse Street, Markle, Indiana. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Markle Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made out to Ride 2 Provide in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.

Norma would ask that if you smoke, please try quitting one more time.

Want you all to know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you through this difficult time. Norma was a good person an asset to the Markle Community. I always enjoyed talking with her at Markle Pizza & Videos. I know she was a good Mother and grandmother. May God grant you peace and reassurance as you move forward in your lives and hold tight to all the good memories.

I remember the first time we met was at a dinner party at our home. We all met at a web site, and if I remember correctly it was called friends. We have stayed in touch ever since. I loved her house on the river. My former husband and I visited there a few times. She was a beautiful lady and her loss will be felt my many.
