Paula S. Evans

September 30, 1959April 30, 2018

Paula S. Evans, 58 of Markle passed away at 3:10 am on Monday, April 30, 2018 at her residence. Paula worked as a volunteer at Lilly Bears Pet Rescue and part of Huntington County Animal Control and volunteered with many more pet rescue organizations. She fostered dogs for several organizations and had over 100 dogs during her lifetime. Paula loved to travel and was looking forward to making trips in her RV. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Paula was born on September 30, 1959 in Huntington, the daughter of Paul and Nodiva (Best) Dolby.

Survivors include a daughter: Melinda Walters-Bowman of Huntington; a son: Ian Walters of Markle; six grandchildren: Mickalea Bowman, Rylee Bowman, Marlie Walters, Schuyler Walters, Derrek Worster and Madison Worster all of Huntington and a very extensive extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Nodiva “Rusty” (Best) Dolby.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made out to American Diabetes Association or to Lilly Bear Pet Rescue both in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.

Paula was my first friend my best friend I am not sure why she never Left Home and over the years as a PK I was all over But it was always so good to be home and to see her It was not an everyday thing as we just met at the fair and always made time for each other The day of the services for my Grandma she was there for me She knew what kind of a relationship I had with my Grandma She called them Grandma and Grandpa also The last year or so she looked so much better than I had seen her for awhile and I told Her so But she was great and told me how her life was coming along RIP Paula I can hear Nodiva calling across the street and you knew that shw wanted you now When She would call Paula Sue Dolby Love you and I just wanted to let her Know I Loved my student Teaching with Ian all that time ago Prayers I will love you now and forever

Just want to say Paula was a great friend to me and a love as well we had many wonderful times together and having fun with friends we been friends for a long time she was a wonderful person we had many special moments together she was my special friend and love she has a wonderful family I got to know and had fun and special moments with I just want to say thank you Paula for being in my life and being my best friend and choosing me I will miss you Paula with all my heart and I will never forget you and will always love you your friend and love Brent foster. Just want to let the family know as well I love and I'm here for you with many thoughts and prayers and if you need anything I'm here for you and you know how to get a hold of me God Bless.
