Obituary of Robert D. Brickley

Robert D. Brickley of Markle passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Markle Health and Rehab Facility. Robert worked for Wayne Metals as a Truck Driver for many years. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1950-1953, and was a Tank Operator during the Korean War. Robert was a member of the Bluffton American Legion Post 111, as well as a member of Markle United Methodist Church. Robert was born on May 26, 1929 in Rock Creek, Wells County, a son of Clarence. and Lola (Pence Gilbert) Brickley. He was united in marriage to Particia (Wall) Brickley on June 6, 1954 in Bluffton IN. His wife survives. Additional survivors include two sons: Karl Brickley of Bluffton, Kevin (Judy) Brickley of Roanoke ; two daughters: Lisa (Stan) Trainer of Markle, Theresa Egolf of Yuma, AZ; Three sisters: Kathleen Houtz, Judy Cupp and Barbara Smekens; Four Grandchildren: Heath A. Pinkerton, Lori A. Rice, Maria R. Egolf, and Ashlee R. Trainer; And six Great Grandchildren: Gavin Bickel, Sutton A. Rice, Craig A. Pinkerton, Ashton T. Pinkerton, Maryssa Pinkerton, and Troy L. Howard. He was Preceded in death by two daughters: Lori Brickley, and Tina Brickley; One son: Greg Brickley; Four brothers: Kenneth Brickley, Casey Brickley, Greg Brickley, and Jerrold Gilbert; One Sister: Nova Lee Barrick.; and two Great Grand Children: Jayson Trainer, and Craig B. Pinkerton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana. Interment will take place at the Horeb Cemetery in Markle. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to The Markle United Methodist Church, or the Indiana Alzheimer’s Association in care of Myers Funeral Home P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770
