Robert Back Alley Bob E. Huffman

Robert E. “Back Alley Bob” Huffman, 60 of Markle passed away Friday afternoon, February 3, 2012 at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Bob had worked in Buildings and Grounds at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne for 28 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Huntington North High school and was a past member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education). He loved garage sale-ing and riding motorcycles.

Bob was born on February 14, 1951 in Huntington a son of James O. and Ethel Naomi (Uhl) Huffman. He was united in marriage to Jean Fillman on September 17, 1988. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include – 3 sons: Clint E. Combs, Eric Henson and Curt J. Combs all of Ft. Wayne; a brother: James Huffman of Oregon; 4 sisters: Mary Fisher of Ft. Wayne, Nora Berry of Huntington, Catherine Caley of Huntington and Helen McDowell of Ft. Wayne. 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will take place on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle, IN.

Services will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.
