Uncle Tom was amazing! He was always so joyful. Though I didn't know until I was older it was the joy of the Lord that he always had shining for others to see that Christ lived in him. I loved being able to see him when him and Aunt Louise would visit Florida and the few times I was able to get to Indiana. My top favorite memory was him dressing up for my great grandmas 80th birthday in a bikini. 😁😂 The best is when we can party and praise Jesus together one day! I love you Aunt Louise and family! Love you all. Erica Bradbury Hartenstein

This morning I am thinking of wonderful memories with Tom. His generosity and his love for children was my first experience with Tom. When we moved to Fort Wayne and back to Mike’s home church that he grew up in, we brought with us 4 year old Zachary and just a few months old Lindsey. Each week at ZUM Tom was so welcoming and interacted not just my babies but ANYONE who had a child. His smile and gentle laugh and caring nature was so infectious and the children were naturally at ease with him. He somehow knew which child he could tease and which ones to gently show that he cared for them and their parents. That’s a gift. He never forced his attention on anyone. He was a wonderful example of Jesus’ words, “Let the children come to me”. My children knew they were loved by Tom. His generosity came in different forms. For Zach it came in the form of a “just because” surprise...a Tonka tractor backhoe. We still have it and that Tonka brings back the memory of a little boy’s total joy AND the joyful smile on the face of this gentle loving friend. Tom will always be in our hearts.

Louise and family, Thinking of you at this sad time. I met Tom (and Louise) through Linda Denney at Markle Health and Rehab in 2016. I could tell you were fun-loving people, but the video you posted is priceless. Cherish those wonderful memories and be assured that, as believers, you'll meet again. God bless. Valerie Jackson. (Louise, you've been a precious gift to Tom!)

Dear Louise and family,
We’re so sorry for your loss and Tom will be truly missed. I especially enjoyed our times at ZUM and in the ZUMSTIX trailer with you and Tom making and selling zumstix. You made me feel welcome when I first came to ZUM and Tom always made me laugh, thank you for that. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.
