Wanda Lou (Brock) Vinson, 81 of Markle, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Although she left a void that cannot be filled she also left a love that can't be measured. If you knew her you loved her and she loved you. Our mother had a way to make you feel like the most important person in her presence, never guessing how she felt about you because she loved loudly. She had such a big strength and perseverance for the tiny woman she was, always willing to stand by your side through difficult times or fight at the forefront for you. She never gave up on you even when you gave up on yourself. Her love and selflessness was like no one else, putting her family first until her last smile and last breath. She was one of eight children. She was a 1963 graduate of Central High School in Fort Wayne, going on to marry her high school sweetheart. She was a mother first but throughout her life she worked at Super Market Services, shared in the duties of various family businesses, including pizza places and a concrete lawn ornament business and her final and favorite job was being a caretaker and friend to many elderly for 20 years prior to retiring at age 76.
Wanda was born on June 18, 1944 in Kettle Island, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Howard) Brock.
She was united in marriage to William G. Vinson on June 14, 1964 in Fort Wayne . William preceded her in death on December 28, 2004.
Survivors include a son: Allen Vinson of Fort Wayne; two daughters: Michelle Hill of Fort Wayne, Amanda (Tim) Stevens of Markle; six grandchildren: Joshua, Justin and Jentsen Hill, Natilea Garcia, Journee and Gage Stevens; four great grandchildren: Brooklynn, Alexia, Jayce and Emma Hill; a sister: Brenda (Pat) Liming of Columbia City and many loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
