Adela Martinez Soto

Adela Martinez Soto, 88, of Marlin went to be with her Lord, Saturday, October 29, 2011. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Marlin, Texas. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Adela was born February 25, 1923 in Brady, Texas to Camillo and Orteneia (Ortiz) Martinez. Adela was a loving wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her church and she loved nothing more than spending time with and caring for her family.

Adela was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Soto; her parents; her son, Henry Soto; and her daughter, Margie Jacinto.

Survivors include her son, Joe Soto, Jr. of Denton, TX; daughters, Gavina Thompson of Marlin, TX and Tonie Sickels of Everman, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Soto and brothers, Rudy Martinez, Lupe Martinez and Pete Martinez. Adela is survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Soto, Jr., Henry Silvas, Joseph A. Soto, Martin Soto, and Pete Martinez, Jr.
