

Mr. Anton John Fitz, age 91, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gregory A. McLaughlin officiating. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home.
Anton was born on October 20 1930 to Tom and Mary (Wilganowski) in Marlin, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Marlin, Texas. Anton served in the United States Army from 1955-1961. Anton worked as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technician for many years. He also worked as a farmer. Anton was an avid fan of many sports, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and Baylor Bears. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Christmas Midnight Mass Choir. Anton had his own band with his brother, Kie for many years. They played around central Texas. His first band was call Rural Ramblers. He was a lead singer and fiddle player.
Anton is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Mushinski, nephew, Larry Mushinski, brothers, Kie Fitz and Marion Joe Fitz.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Betty Fitz, nephews, David Fitz and wife, Donna, Matt Fitz and wife, Brandy, and Billie Mushinski and wife, Dot, niece, Cheryl Bielamowicz and husband, Ronnie, great-nephew, Jonathan Bielamowicz, great-niece, Marissa Fitz, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers: Don Wilganowski, Billie Mushinski, Bubba Merryman, Jonathan Bielamowicz, Ronnie Bielamowicz, and Sam Nowaski.
