Ben Arthur Dieterich Sr.

Ben Dieterich Sr., 87, of Riesel, entered into rest Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel with the Rev. Robert Kitson officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home.

Ben was born January 7, 1924 in Otto, Texas to Adolf and Lena Kluck Dieterich. He married Lydia Zost, November 25, 1951. Ben loved farming and working with his cattle, but most of all he loved caring for his family. He was a life time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Lydia; son, Ben Dieterich Jr. and wife Lou Ann, of Riesel; daughters, Debra Murphy and husband Randall, of Granbury; Cheryl Lowe and husband Kermit, of Riesel; sister, Edna Neuman of Waco; grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, and Jason Dieterich, Johnathan and Matthew Murphy, and Samantha Lowe; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Dieterich, Brandon Dieterich, Jason Dieterich, Jonathan Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Samantha Lowe, and Glen Dieterich.

The family would like to express special thanks to Bluebonnet Hospice and Park Plaza Nursing Home in Mart.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Technology Fund, P.O. Box 447, Riesel, Texas 76682.
