Blanche Street

Blanche Tacker Street of Gun Barrell City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at her residence. Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas with Reverend Curtis Holland and Reverend Richard Rusk officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday June 17, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Street was born on March 3, 1925 in Regan, TX. She married Sidney Street in 1956. Mr. Street passed away in 1980. Blanche was an active member of First Evangical Church. She faithfully served at the church camp each summer cooking many delicious meals for the campers. She also prepared food for several special occasions and fellowships. She was a retired hair stylish and made numerous friends wherever she worked. Blanche loved to travel throughout the United States and go on cruises with her friends and family. She was the “Life of the party” wherever she went. She leaves a legacy of having a great capacity for loving and helping others. Blanche is preceded in death by her parents: Robert Lee and Nettie Woodward Tacker, her daughter: Blanche Deloma Sellers, her sisters; Ruby Sudbury, Louise Miller, Gladys Walker, and Virginia Walthal, brothers; Wesley “Ike” Tacker, Odis “Pat” Tacker, Louis “John” Tacker, John Tomas “JT” Tacker and Newt Tacker, and sisters -in- law; Jane Tacker and Bobbie Tacker Green.

Mrs. Street is survived by her sister-in-law; Alzona Taker of Robinson, many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friends; Jan and Richard Diana, Cindy England, Tanya Self, Rhonda Baggott, and many great-grandchildren she claimed as her own.

Pallbearers will be Chris Howard, Terry Tacker, Steve Smith, Ray Walker, Morgan Kuykendall, Ron Lange, Edward Herrington, and Mike Rosendahl. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Wade Walthall, Randall Tacker, Rick Madison, and Cody Merryman. Memorials may be sent to the First Evangical Church 6347 I35 South Robinson, TX 76706.
