

Clarence William (C.W.) Korger, 63 of Riesel was taken peacefully early Thursday morning February 2, 2012 at his residence. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel. Burial will follow in the Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Friday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.
C.W. was born March 11, 1948 in Marlin, TX to William and Clara Neuman Korger. They prayed and waited many years before they were blessed with their only son, Clarence.
C.W. was a graduate of Riesel High School going on to attend Business School in Dallas for two years.
He worked for many years at Hawkins Grainery and Riesel I.S.D. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
The happiest time of his life was marrying Rebecca Ramos and raising their five beautiful girls together. As the years passed, they watched their girls mature, grow up, and get married. His greatest joy came to him when his grandchildren entered his life. The very meaning of his life was his family!
Life for C.W. was going out to eat catfish with his family, camping, card playing, woodworking, and watching the Houston Texans play ball. His favorite pastime of all was playing dominoes and WINNING!!
C.W. was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters Betty Korger and Katrina Korger.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years Rebecca Korger of Riesel, TX; daughters, Lisa Alston and husband David of Arlington, TX; Andi Wilkey and husband Larry of Troy, TX; Paula Webre and husband Phillip of West, TX; and grandchildren, Katlynne and Bryce Wilkey.
Pallbearers will be Larry Wilkey, Bryce Wilkey, David Alston, Phillip Webre, Kenneth Hampton, and Michael Moran. Honorary Pallbearer will be Russell Hefelfinger.
