

Callie (Salsiccia) Wilkey, age 107, of Marlin, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2026. Born June 18, 1919, in Marlin, Texas, Callie was the daughter of Domenick and Mary Catalina Salsiccia. Throughout a long life marked by steady grace, Callie was dearly loved for the sincerity of her heart, the goodness she offered so freely, and the straightforward honesty that made others trust her without hesitation.
She attended Marlin School and later became a devoted mother, and worked as a grocery clerk and floral arranger.
A faithful Catholic, Callie was a member of the Parish Counsel of Catholic Women, living her beliefs with quiet devotion and respect for others.
Callie found joy in raising flowers, crocheting, reading, and in outings to the beach and casinos; yet, above all, her truest love was her family, whom she held close with unwavering devotion.
Callie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carlos Salsiccia; sister. Mary Brown; and daughter, Maryann Williams. She is survived by son, Gene Wilkey and wife, Donna of Marlin; daughters, Carolyn Contella and husband, Joe of Marlin, and Barbara L. Wilkey of Marlin; as well as 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, Texas 76661, on September 3, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will follow at Adams Funeral Home, on September 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Christian Burial will held at Adams Funeral Home, on September 4, 2026, at 9:00 am.
Pallbearers include Teddy Holbrook, Frankie Dingrando, Anthony Lamb, Michael Lamb, Waylon Brown and Brandon Brown.
