

Carman Nunzie Dingrando, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 in Whitney, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home, with Father Greg McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with a reception to follow at The Allen House. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Adams funeral home in Marlin.
Carman was born on November 13, 1949 in Marlin, Texas to Nunzie and Annette Dingrando. He attended Marlin High School where he graduated in 1968 and subsequently obtained his Associate Degree at TSTC. He was a member of the Army National Guard from 1969 – 1973. Carman owned and operated several small businesses including Bluebonnet Motors and wrecker services in Marlin and C&C Auto Parts in Whitney, Texas.Carman married Kathy Kasner on March 28, 1987 in Marlin,Texas and was a beloved husband of 37 years.
Carman had a penchant for classic rock, cars and drag racing. He could often be found at the track in his younger days listening to some ZZtop. He prized his 1969 Corvette Stingray among other vehicles he spent many hours restoring, showing, and racing. Carman also enjoyed sports, particularly baseball and football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. He not only enjoyed playing sports, he loved to cheer on and coach his kids in various sports growing up.
Carman devoted his life to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking spaghetti and meatballs for the family, spending holidays together, and taking family vacations across the United States. As a grandfather, Carman took pride in sharing his time with his grandchildren, going to their events, rocking on the front porch and creating lasting memories. His influence will live on through generations.
Carman is preceded in death by his parents, Nunzie and Annette Dingrando of Marlin, Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy Dingrando, children Michele Yates and husband Doug, Lori Dingrando and husband Chris Ray, Joseph Dingrando and wife Brittanie, Chris Dingrando and McKensie Piar, Matt Dingrando and wife Grace; grandchildren Grant Yates, Austin Ray, Keira Dingrando, Easton Ray, Kaitlin Ray; Tyler Farmer, Haislee Dingrando, Luca Dingrando, Ryan Henkelman, Cayden Henkelman, Elliot Dingrando, and Samuel Dingrando; brother Frankie Dingrando, wife Patricia; sisters Mary Dingrando, husband Klaus Wurster, Lynette Dingrando and a community of friends who cherished him deeply.
Pallbearers are Frankie Dingrando, Joseph Dingrando, Matt Dingrando, Chris Dingrando, Chris Ray, and Doug Yates.
