Carolyn Ann Owen of Riesel Texas, 86, passed from this earth to her heavenly home July 24, 2023. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 26 at 10:00am in Riesel Cemetery with Roger Nutt and John Grusendorf officiating.
Carolyn was born in Cleburne Texas where she attended school and later through family she met and married the love of her life Erman Owen. They were married 69 years when Erman passed away in 2021.
Carloyn was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Marlin where she and Erman enjoyed the fellowship and the friendships they formed there. Carloyn was best known at Eastside for her pies. She loved to bake and found great joy in cooking for family and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Erman and a son Jerry Wayne Owen; her parents A.B. Upchurch and Lottie Whitehead. Survivors include a daughter Debra Ewing (husband Ron: a son Ronnie Lee Owen (wife Barbara): grandchildren Jennifer Boen (husband Korey), Jason Ewing (wife Megan), Patrick Owen (wife Holli), and Krista Owen; five great grandchildren, Ethan, Colt, Emma, Julia, and Sophia.
