

Casimiro Hernandez Tovar, age 74 of Marlin entered into the everlasting joy of the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 while surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 3, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Kelly as celebrant. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends before and after the Rosary.
Casimiro was born March 4, 1937 in Reagan to Julian and Pragedes Hernandez Tovar. He was retired from the concrete construction business after 45 years of service. He was a 51 year resident of Marlin and a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He loved to go coon hunting, fishing and riding his 4 wheeler. Casimiro also loved country and western music and mariachi music.
Survivors include is wife of 56 years, – Sara Tovar, children, Pragedes “Pat” Cantu, Olivia Swearingen, David Castillo; Step Children, Primo Salas, Tom Salas, Sara Ramirez, Sam Salas and Dora Soto; Siblings, Julian , Frank, Vicente, Camillo and Vidal Tovar, Rosa Castillo and Crescentia Rosas.
8 Grandchildren and 15 Step Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andre Soto, Jim Cantu, Jr., Daniel Swearingen, Isaac Sandoval, Vicente Tovar, Jr. and Pete Tovar.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 311 Oaks, Marlin, Texas 76661.
