Charles was born in Kalispell, Montana on January 11, 1926 to Leland E. Squires and Fern (Davis) Squires. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1945 and served in the United States Army from December 1944 to December 1946, during World War II in the Philippines, with an honorable discharge. Charles married Gladys Abel Palmer on December 15, 1967. He worked in the oil industry, in sales, for 50 years. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
Preceding Charles in death were wife, Gladys Squires; parents, Leland and Fern Squires; and brothers, Ivan Squires and Carol Squires.
Survivors include sister, Leora Larson; nephew, Gregory Lynch, niece, Ester Lynch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
